College System (ACCS) submits data to the National Student Clearinghouse <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentclearinghouse.org\/solutions\/ed-insights\/pdp\/\">Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP)<\/a> to measure student outcomes and to benchmark success. The PDP matches ACCS institutional data with information provided by colleges and universities across North America to determine outcomes of students both at the home institution and at transfer institutions. PDP metrics more adequately measure how well two-year institutions fulfill their unique missions by including part-time students and career\/technical students who comprise a significant percentage of their student populations.<\/p><p>ACCS is reporting the results for PDP metrics using the main cohort, which is defined as \u201cAll students who entered the institution for the first time post high school completion and are enrolled in credit or developmental education classes in the fall term.\u201d \u00a0 For each metric, data was disaggregated for race, gender, and financial need (as measured by Pell eligibility). Click on the links to view graphs of the data.<\/p><ol><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ache.edu\/wp-content\/Accountability\/ACCS_CreditHrAttain.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Credit Hour Attainment:<\/a> Students are more likely to graduate on time (within two years) if they earn 30 or more credit hours within each year. This report shows the percent of students who earn 15-23 credits, 24-29 credits, or 30+ credits in the first academic year (fall, spring, and summer terms).<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ache.edu\/wp-content\/Accountability\/1-1_ACCS_CreditAttain_Race.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1.1. The rates of students still enrolled in year two reflects the percent of students who did not receive any award or transfer out and who were enrolled at the same college at any time within the second academic year. One primary purpose is to help students gain general education competencies to prepare them to successfully transfer to a four-year institution. Another primary purpose is to prepare students with credentials to enter the workforce in high-skilled positions. Therefore, it is important to consider students who complete their programs, students who transfer to four-year institutions, and students who are retained from fall to fall as students who succeed. Community college students gain workforce preparedness skills by completing short-term certificates, long certificates, or associate degrees.
