If the request is time-extensive, the agency may extend the response period in 15-business-day increments upon notifying the requester.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Documents:<\/strong>\u00a0When possible, all documents will be provided in electronic\/digital form.<\/p><p><strong>Exemptions:<\/strong>\u00a0State law provides that some information may be exempted from production in the event its disclosure would be detrimental to the best interests of the public or such records are protected from disclosure by other state and federal laws, including the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ed.gov\/policy\/gen\/guid\/fpco\/ferpa\/index.html\"><strong>Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0law.<\/p><p><strong>Costs:<\/strong>\u00a0ACHE, in accordance with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/governor.alabama.gov\/newsroom\/2023\/01\/executive-order-734\/\"><strong>Executive Order 734<\/strong><\/a>, will impose a reasonable fee to process public records requests according to the executive order\u2019s allowances.
