Need-Based Financial Aid

• Financial aid is based on the information that is provided on the

FAFSA form

• Most work-study jobs and grants are determined by the amount of

aid a student needs to attend college. This is determined by looking
at family income information.

• Need-based financial aid is awarded through:

• Federal government
• State government

• Colleges

• Student applying may receive:

• Pell Grants

• Work-Study
• Subsidized Direct Student Loans through the federal government

• State need-based aid support
