Wallace’s Heersink Family Health Sciences Building, located on the Dothan campus, houses eight health sciences programs, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and a simulation center to replicate real-world healthcare scenarios for a truly immersive learning experience.

Wallace’s Govs baseball team produced the first ever national player of the year from the Alabama Community College Conference.
In a study released in 2023 by Lightcast, the total economic impact of WCCD on its Wiregrass service area was just under $164 million for 2020-21.

The Student Right to Know Act was passed by the 2023 Alabama Legislature. This Act commissioned ACHE to create the HORIZON Student Database as an interactive resource for students and parents focusing on costs, degree programs, and student success at Alabama’s colleges and universities.
College Navigator is an online tool designed to help students, parents, and other consumers evaluate colleges and universities. The site includes institutional data on academic programs offered, retention and graduation rates, tuition and fees, financial aid, degrees awarded, campus safety, and accreditation.
